Privacy Policy

GitClientPro ("we", "our", or "us") operates the GitClientPro mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, how it is used, and the choices you have.

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Data We Collect

The App is a Git client that runs entirely on your device. It does not require an account, and it does not operate any server of our own. The App handles the following types of information:

a) Git Repository Credentials
If you choose to connect to a Git remote that requires authentication, you may enter your username and password (or an SSH key). These credentials are stored only on your device in the App's private storage and are used solely to perform the Git operations you initiate (clone, push, pull, fetch). The credentials are transmitted only to the Git server you have explicitly configured as the remote repository.

b) Git Repository Data
The App reads and writes the contents of Git repositories that you open, clone, or create on your device. This data remains on your device. You control which repositories the App accesses.

c) App Preferences
The App stores local preferences on your device, such as your selected theme, language, layout mode, and animation settings. This information never leaves your device.

d) Crash Logs
In the event of an unexpected error, the App may store a short log of the error on your device. This log is never sent automatically. You may voluntarily choose to send it by email using your device's email application.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

The App does not collect, sell, or share any of the following:
- Location data
- Advertising identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID)
- Contact information or address book data
- Photos or videos
- Device identifiers for tracking purposes
- Usage analytics or telemetry transmitted to us or to any third party
- Data for personalized advertising (the App contains no advertising)

3. Payments

All payments (one-time unlock and subscription) are processed exclusively by Google Play, through the Google Play Billing service. We do not collect, store, or transmit your payment card number or other financial information. Payment details are handled by Google in accordance with its own privacy practices.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not share your information with any third party, except as required by law or as described in this policy:
- Data is transmitted only to the Git servers you explicitly configure, in order to perform the operations you request.
- If you choose to send a crash log by email, that email is handled by the email application you select on your device.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

All data handled by the App is stored locally on your device. You can delete this data at any time by:
- Removing the repositories from the App, or
- Uninstalling the App (which removes locally stored credentials, preferences, and crash logs).

Because the App does not store your data on servers under our control, there is no remote data to delete.

6. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information stored by the App on your device, including storing credentials in the App's private storage area and transmitting them over the secure connections (HTTPS or SSH) supported by the Git servers you connect to. You are responsible for choosing remotes that support secure transport where available.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for use by developers and adults. It is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective date" at the top of this policy. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
